Environmental policy

The Philharmonie de Paris project illustrates the goal of the Ministry of Culture and Communication and of the City of Paris to commit to a proactive policy in environmental quality.

What’s needed for sustainable development

Right from the start, the Philharmonie de Paris adopted a set of requirements in line with sustainable development : the High Environmental Quality guidelines (“Haute Quality Environnementale”, or HQE®).

Operation Experimental: HQE® guidelines and tertiary buildings

The Philharmonie de Paris has decided to highlight the innovative aspect of its project by naming it, “Operation Experimental – HQE® guidelines and tertiary buildings”.

Impact study and public survey

Launched in 2008, an impact study of the Philharmonie de Paris led to a public survey, after which the building permit was granted.
